Megastar Chiranjeevi has surprised fans with the title and first glimpse of his upcoming film, previously referred to as #Mega158. Directed by Bobby Kolli, the film has now been officially titled Kaaka, with the glimpse revealing a very different shade of Chiranjeevi.
Kaaka Glimpse Introduces Chiranjeevi as Satyam
The glimpse introduces Chiranjeevi as K. Satyam, a seemingly ordinary supervisor working at Ammaji Aqua Industries. He is shown as a simple, respected man who shares a close relationship with his daughter.
However, the glimpse gradually suggests that Satyam has a hidden side. A seemingly small incident involving scooter keys and a magnet takes an unexpected turn when guns and weapons emerge from the water.
Chiranjeevi in a Mass Action Avatar
The promotional video then shifts gears and introduces Chiranjeevi in a much more stylish and action-oriented avatar. The glimpse appears to present contrasting shades of his character, creating curiosity about Satyam’s actual past.
The combination of humour in the opening portions and action in the later scenes suggests that Kaaka will mix commercial entertainment with a mystery surrounding its central character.
Bobby Kolli and Chiranjeevi Reunite
Kaaka marks the second collaboration between Chiranjeevi and director Bobby Kolli, following Waltair Veerayya. The new project appears to give Chiranjeevi another larger-than-life commercial role while introducing a different character setup.
Cast and Technical Team
The film features Anaswara Rajan as the female lead, with Nivetha Pethuraj, Sunil and Getup Srinu also part of the cast. S. Thaman is composing the music, while Vijay Karthik Kannan handles cinematography.
The film is being produced by Venkat K. Narayana under KVN Productions.
Kaaka Release Date
The makers have confirmed a worldwide theatrical release on January 13, 2027, during the Sankranthi festival season.

What the Kaaka Glimpse Reveals
The Kaaka glimpse doesn’t reveal the complete story, but it clearly establishes one major mystery: Who is K. Satyam really?
His ordinary life as an aqua-factory supervisor appears to hide a much more dangerous past. The transition from a light-hearted workplace sequence to a full-fledged give a hint at an action sequence is the biggest highlight of the glimpse.
With Chiranjeevi’s mass image, Bobby Kolli’s commercial filmmaking and a Sankranthi 2027 release, Kaaka is already shaping up as one of the major Telugu films to watch next year.
