After its theatrical release, the Telugu horror thriller 418 is now waiting for its OTT premiere. The film, presented by filmmaker Prashanth Neel and directed by Kirtan Nadagouda, has secured its digital streaming partner as Netflix.
According to current OTT tracking reports, 418 is expected to arrive on Netflix around November 20, 2026, although the exact streaming date has not yet been officially announced by Netflix or the film’s makers.
418 OTT Release Date
The theatrical release of 418 took place on October 23, 2026, after the film went through multiple postponements.
The movie is now expected to make its digital debut on Netflix. November 20 is being reported as the expected OTT date, but viewers should consider it tentative until Netflix officially announces the premiere.
For now, the confirmed information is that Netflix owns the digital streaming rights to the film.
418 OTT Platform
The official digital destination for 418 is Netflix.
The film has been positioned as a multilingual horror thriller, giving it an opportunity to reach audiences beyond the Telugu market. Netflix’s reported language lineup includes Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi.
This makes the Netflix release particularly interesting for viewers who prefer watching South Indian films in their original or dubbed languages.
What Is 418 About?
The story of 418 revolves around a mysterious room inside a medical college environment.
Room No. 418 has remained locked for years, while strange incidents surrounding the building gradually create fear among the characters. When the sealed location is reopened, the mystery surrounding the room begins to unfold.
The film mixes horror, supernatural elements, mystery and psychological tension. The trailers suggest that the story is built around unexplained incidents and a secret connected to Room 418.
One of the central characters is Vivek, a young man who experiences unusual events and struggles to convince others that something is wrong. The arrival of Devika adds another layer to the mystery as the story moves deeper into the supernatural territory.
418 Cast
The movie features Chaithra Achar, Surya Raj, Charan Lakkaraju, Preethi Pagadala and Shashank Patil in key roles.
Chaithra Achar plays Devika, while Surya Raj plays Vivek. The supporting cast includes several actors who contribute to the film’s mysterious and horror-driven atmosphere.
Prashanth Neel’s Connection With 418
Prashanth Neel is presenting the film, while Kirtan Nadagouda has written and directed it.
For Nadagouda, 418 marks his directorial debut. He had previously worked as an assistant and co-director associated with Prashanth Neel’s filmmaking team.
The film is produced by Naveen Yerneni and Yalamanchili Ravi Shankar, with Mythri Movie Makers backing the project. It also marks the production house’s entry into the horror genre.
Why 418 Could Be Interesting on Netflix
The biggest advantage for 418 on OTT is its multilingual availability.
Instead of being limited to one regional audience, the film is expected to reach viewers through Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi versions. Horror films can also perform well on streaming because audiences often discover them through recommendations and social media discussions after their theatrical run.
The mysterious Room 418 concept could further attract viewers who enjoy supernatural thrillers and mystery-based horror stories.
