Prime Video is bringing the popular international reality format The Traitors to Telugu audiences. The Telugu edition will be hosted by actor Teja Sajja, marking his debut as a reality-show host.
The show will bring 20 contestants into a game built around trust, deception, suspicion and strategy. The Traitors Telugu will premiere exclusively on Prime Video on October 15, 2026.
The Traitors Telugu Release Date
The Traitors Telugu will premiere worldwide on October 15, 2026, exclusively on Prime Video.
The series will have 10 episodes, with new episodes releasing every Thursday at 12 noon IST. The show is scheduled to run across four weeks.
Teja Sajja as The Traitors Telugu Host
Teja Sajja will make his reality-show hosting debut with The Traitors Telugu.
The actor, known for films including Hanu-Man, will take on the role of the host and guide contestants through the various rounds, missions and elimination stages.
The announcement has added another interesting dimension to the Telugu adaptation, particularly because Teja is entering a format that depends heavily on strategy, suspicion and psychological gameplay.
20 Contestants Enter the Game
The Traitors Telugu will feature 20 personalities from different backgrounds.
The contestants will enter the game without knowing whom they can completely trust. Some players will secretly become Traitors, while the remaining contestants will have to identify them.
The central challenge is to understand the behaviour of other players, build alliances and avoid being eliminated before discovering who the Traitors are.
Prime Video has not yet officially revealed the complete contestant list in the announcement, so individual contestant names should not be treated as confirmed until the platform announces them.
What Is The Traitors Telugu About?
The format is built around two groups: Traitors and Innocents.
The Traitors operate secretly and try to remain undetected while influencing the game. The Innocents must work together to identify the hidden Traitors and eliminate them.
This creates a constant battle of trust and deception, where even a close alliance can suddenly become a source of suspicion.
The Telugu version follows the format that has already been adapted in more than 30 countries.

The format has already been adapted for audiences around the world, while the Telugu version brings the concept to a regional Indian-language audience.
