Telugu comedian Satya and Tamil comedy star Yogi Babu are coming together for a new Telugu-Tamil entertainer titled Golden Bhagyam. The makers officially announced the title on September 29 along with a fun-filled title glimpse.
The film is directed by Pawan Basamsetti, known for Rangabali, and brings together actors from both the Telugu and Tamil industries in an unusual crossover format.
Golden Bhagyam Title Glimpse Out
The makers released the Golden Bhagyam title glimpse, introducing the film with a humorous Telugu-Tamil setup.
The glimpse begins with two characters discussing their favourite food, with one defending Telugu cuisine and the other supporting Tamil food. The conversation eventually leads to the introduction of Satya and Yogi Babu.
One of the most interesting elements is the language exchange. Satya is seen speaking Tamil, while Yogi Babu speaks Telugu, adding to the comedy of the crossover.
The makers have described the project as a “Telumil” film, combining Telugu and Tamil elements rather than presenting it as a conventional single-language movie.
Satya and Yogi Babu Lead the Film
Golden Bhagyam brings Satya and Yogi Babu together as the central comedy duo.
Their contrasting comic styles are expected to form an important part of the film. The title glimpse itself focuses heavily on their combination and the unusual Telugu-Tamil setup.
The story is also expected to combine comedy, romance, crime and action, giving the film more than just a straightforward comedy setup.
Golden Bhagyam Cast
Along with Satya and Yogi Babu, the film features Jayashree and Athiraj as the female leads.
The supporting cast includes Vennela Kishore, Sudharshan, Kishore Tirumala, Rohini, Tanikella Bharani and Sunil Reddy.
The combination of actors from both industries is one of the major features of the project.
Who Is Directing Golden Bhagyam?
Pawan Basamsetti is directing Golden Bhagyam. He is also jointly producing the film with Nagarjuna Reddy.
The movie is being produced under the banners of Dream Movie Makers and Nayavayu Chitralu. It marks the maiden production venture of both banners.
The technical team includes Bablu Aju as cinematographer, Pawan CH as music composer, Kamesh as production designer and Ravi Teja Girijala as editor.
Golden Bhagyam Release Date
The makers have indicated that Golden Bhagyam will release later in 2026, but a specific theatrical release date has not been officially confirmed in the latest title announcement.
The film was previously associated with a Sankranthi release plan, but that plan was changed. The latest reports point to a release later in the year.
What Makes Golden Bhagyam Different?
The main attraction of Golden Bhagyam is the combination of Satya and Yogi Babu.
The film also attempts a different kind of Telugu-Tamil crossover by making the language difference itself part of the comedy. The “Telumil” concept gives the project a distinct identity.
With comedy at the centre and romance, crime and action elements also included, the film is being presented as a commercial entertainer.
