The much-awaited Ranabaali Telugu trailer has finally been released, giving audiences a bigger look at Vijay Deverakonda’s upcoming period action drama. Directed by Rahul Sankrityan, the film stars Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna in the lead roles, with South African actor Arnold Vosloo playing a key role. The film is scheduled to arrive in theatres on October 16, 2026.
Ranabaali Telugu Trailer: What Does It Show?
The trailer presents a raw and intense world set against the backdrop of 19th-century Rayalaseema and British colonial rule. Vijay Deverakonda appears in a rugged warrior avatar as Singanamala Bobbili Ranabaali, a character who stands against British forces and fights for his people.
The trailer focuses on action, rebellion, emotion and the struggles of people living under colonial oppression. It also gives a glimpse of the scale of the film, with large action sequences and dramatic moments designed for the big screen.
Vijay Deverakonda as Ranabaali
Vijay Deverakonda takes on a completely different look for the film. His character is portrayed as a fearless warrior with a strong connection to his homeland.
Director Rahul Sankrityan has clarified that Ranabaali is not a biopic. Instead, the character is fictional and has been inspired by the stories and qualities associated with several historical warriors of Rayalaseema. The director has described the film as an alternate-history fantasy rather than a direct retelling of real events.
Rashmika Mandanna and Arnold Vosloo
Rashmika Mandanna plays Jayamma, while Arnold Vosloo appears as the British antagonist Sir Theodore Hector. Their characters add an emotional and dramatic layer to the central conflict.
The film also brings together director Rahul Sankrityan and music composers Ajay–Atul, promising a large-scale cinematic presentation.
Ranabaali Release Date
After an earlier delay, Ranabaali is now scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on October 16, 2026, during the Dussehra festive period.
With its intense trailer, period setting and Vijay Deverakonda’s powerful new avatar, Ranabaali is now one of the most anticipated Telugu releases of October.
