Prabhas is celebrating his 47th birthday on October 23, 2026, and his upcoming period action drama Fauzi has added a major surprise to the celebrations.
The makers have unveiled a mysterious new poster featuring Prabhas in a vintage military avatar while teasing a special video that promises to answer one question: “Who is he?”
The mystery surrounding Prabhas’ character has quickly become one of the biggest talking points among fans.
Fauzi Birthday Poster Creates a Mystery
The new Fauzi poster uses a vintage, fiery design. At the centre is a golden coin featuring Prabhas’ profile in a military uniform, surrounded by flames.
The poster carries the tagline:
“A Battalion Who Fights Alone”
It also introduces File No. 025 and the phrase “Most Wanted Since 1939”, adding to the mystery surrounding Prabhas’ identity in the film.
The makers have specifically teased that the question of “Who is he?” will be answered through a video.
What Will the Fauzi Video Reveal?
According to producer Ravi Shankar, the special birthday video is intended to give audiences an idea about the story of Fauzi and reveal Prabhas’ character.
Rather than being a conventional massive trailer, the video is expected to work as a story and character glimpse, giving viewers a better understanding of the world created by director Hanu Raghavapudi.
This makes the reveal particularly interesting because the makers have kept Prabhas’ exact character details under wraps so far.
Prabhas Plays a Soldier
Fauzi is set against a colonial-era period backdrop, with Prabhas playing a soldier.
Reports have described the story as being connected to the lesser-known chapters of India’s freedom struggle, while the film’s military setting and the “A Battalion Who Fights Alone” tagline suggest that the character will be central to the film’s action and emotional journey.
However, several details about the character should still be treated carefully until the makers reveal them officially.
Who Is Behind Fauzi?
Fauzi is directed by Hanu Raghavapudi, best known for films such as Sita Ramam.
The film stars:
- Prabhas
- Imanvi
- Mithun Chakraborty
- Jaya Prada
- Anupam Kher
The movie is produced by Mythri Movie Makers, with T-Series Films associated with the project.
The film is being planned as a pan-Indian release in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and Bengali.
Is Fauzi Releasing in December 2026?
This is where fans need to be careful.
Fauzi was previously expected to arrive in December 2026, but the film’s release has reportedly been postponed, and a fresh official release date has not been announced. Producer Ravi Shankar has indicated that the team needs more time to complete the project.
Therefore, December 3, 2026 should not currently be treated as a confirmed release date.
Why the Birthday Reveal Matters
The Fauzi campaign has deliberately avoided revealing too much about Prabhas’ character.
Instead, the makers have used:
File No. 025 → “Who is he?” → Mystery video
This creates curiosity without giving away the character immediately.
For Prabhas fans, the upcoming video could therefore be more important than a conventional birthday poster because it may finally explain who Fauzi is, what he is fighting for and how his story connects to the historical setting.
Prabhas’ Birthday Gets Another Big Surprise
Fauzi isn’t the only Prabhas project making headlines on his birthday.
The makers of Kalki 2898 AD also shared a special behind-the-scenes video teasing the return of Bhairava, Prabhas’ character, for the sequel.
That gives fans a double birthday treat, with updates arriving from two of Prabhas’ major upcoming projects.
What Happens Next?
The immediate focus is on the Fauzi birthday video reveal.
If the video follows the makers’ announcement, fans should finally get more information about Prabhas’ mysterious military character and the basic story of the film.
Until then, File No. 025 remains one of the biggest unanswered questions surrounding Fauzi.
